For reputation checks: We collect the company name you enter. We do not require registration, email, or personal data for free checks.

Automatically collected: IP address (for rate limiting only, not stored), browser type and version (via server logs, retained for 7 days).

Cookies: We use only essential cookies (cookie consent preference). No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

3. Data Sources

Reputefly analyzes publicly available data only:

Google Maps reviews and ratings (via Google Places API)
Public web pages and news articles (via Google Custom Search)

We do not access private databases, social media accounts, or any non-public information.

4. How We Use Your Data

To perform the reputation analysis you requested
To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
To improve our service

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. We do not use your data for marketing.

5. Data Retention

Free check results are not stored permanently. Rate limit data is held in memory and cleared automatically. Paid reports are stored for 30 days for your access, then deleted.
